[14:58:58] wiesand joins the room
[14:59:56] <meffie> greetings
[15:00:20] <wiesand> Hello
[15:01:06] <mvita> present
[15:01:22] <wiesand> I'm still in decelerated mode...
[15:01:36] <wiesand> And not on top of openafs affairs yet
[15:02:21] <mvita> welcome back anyway!
[15:02:32] <wiesand> But let's recap the Linux situation
[15:02:51] <meffie> welcome back. i'm just getting back in the swing of things too. (was camping last week; offline)
[15:02:54] <wiesand> Mark: Thanks. I'm not really back yet though
[15:03:36] <wiesand> Linux 4.13 was released, 4.14 is in the merge window?
[15:03:49] <mvita> yes
[15:04:03] <mvita> rc1 expected on Sunday
[15:04:24] <wiesand> And a 1.6.21.1 with just the "designated initializers" change is what;s nneded to cope with 4.13?
[15:04:29] <mvita> yes
[15:04:49] <wiesand> I'd try to get that out this week then
[15:04:55] <mvita> thank you
[15:05:08] <wiesand> Unless there are any hot candidates for inclusion?
[15:06:08] <wiesand> I'll take that silence  as a  "no"
[15:06:16] <mvita> :-)
[15:06:55] <wiesand> And anything more complicated regarding 1.6 will have to wait til October...
[15:07:56] <meffie> ok
[15:08:13] <wiesand> This should still leave time for preparing a 1.6.22 with some non-Linux changes included. Like the Ubik ones.
[15:09:01] <mvita> sounds good
[15:09:07] <meffie> most of the ubik fixes have been merged on master. i think just 2 left, which have some +1s on them
[15:09:53] <wiesand> Ok.
[15:10:13] <wiesand> And I think that concludes the 1.6 topic for today
[15:10:59] <wiesand> 1.8 anyone?
[15:12:10] <wiesand> Any other business?
[15:12:20] <meffie> just getting sites to test 1.8.0pre2
[15:12:29] <wiesand> Good!
[15:13:34] <meffie> servers and clients, on linux.
[15:13:44] <wiesand> Good!!
[15:15:43] <wiesand> If there's nothing else to discuss, adjourn? (and I'll continue preparing my next trip ;-)
[15:16:07] <mvita> nothing else here
[15:16:12] <mvita> where are you going?
[15:16:15] <meffie> ok, i say it for you: "review review review"
[15:16:23] wiesand leaves the room
[15:16:34] wiesand joins the room
[15:16:39] <wiesand> Mark: thanks
[15:16:53] <mvita> sure
[15:16:56] <wiesand> Mike: Denmark again, probably.
[15:17:05] <mvita> nice
[15:17:36] <mvita> have an excellent time
[15:17:57] <wiesand> Wooden cottage with a wood oven - the right place for the first days of autumn
[15:19:20] <wiesand> I'll try to be present next week though. If I'm not, well...
[15:19:37] <mvita> we will try to muddle through
[15:19:41] <mvita> ;-)
[15:20:09] <wiesand> I'm quite positive ;-)
[15:20:49] <wiesand> Thanks a lot and Goodbye!
[15:20:53] wiesand leaves the room
[16:23:18] <kadukoafs@gmail.com/barnowl772461F2> Sorry I was absent; I was sick earlier this week(end) and in my foggy
state forgot to switch over to this meeting after my other meeting
ended.
[16:42:56] <meffie> oh, hope you are feeling better.
[16:43:05] <kadukoafs@gmail.com/barnowl772461F2> Thanks!
[16:44:32] <kadukoafs@gmail.com/barnowl772461F2> I don't know if you saw the log from last week wondering about how
long to wait for feedback on 1.8.0pre2 before going ahead with the
release.
Though it seems that the rxevent test failure on armhf that I also
mentioned then may be a real issue that needs fixing (and could prompt
a pre3); Anders looked some and I looked a little bit, and there seems
to be a race involving cancelled events and use-after-free.
[16:45:44] <meffie> arg
[16:46:11] <kadukoafs@gmail.com/barnowl772461F2> I should check back with Anders if he expects to have more time to
look at it.
[16:46:49] <meffie> ok, thank you.
[20:52:50] meffie leaves the room
[22:30:54] mvita leaves the room
