[05:31:56] mvita leaves the room
[12:14:26] meffie joins the room
[12:38:19] mvita joins the room
[14:00:58] wiesand joins the room
[14:01:11] <wiesand> Good morning
[14:01:16] <kadukoafs@gmail.com/barnowl4AB31BCF> Morning
[14:01:20] <meffie> good afternoon
[14:02:36] <wiesand> Not much to discuss today I guess, since there was little change.
[14:02:38] <meffie> sorry, i failed to get last weeks notes out. i'll combine them with this weeks notes (if any)
[14:03:05] <wiesand> I merged the 1.6 changes I considered ready.
[14:03:21] <mvita> hello
[14:03:33] <wiesand> The top 6 ones  from https://gerrit.openafs.org/#/q/status:open+project:openafs+branch:openafs-stable-1_6_x should get more review.
[14:03:51] <mvita> looking now
[14:04:02] <wiesand> I tried again to pull up 10245. And failed again.
[14:04:23] <wiesand> Too much churn in afsd.c over the years.
[14:05:48] <wiesand> So, unless someone else does it, I'll drop it from the candidate list.
[14:05:58] <wiesand> Together with 11855.
[14:06:05] <meffie> oh, sorry, yes 10245 is on my list to pullup.
[14:06:15] <meffie> "feel free to pull up 10245 and 11855"
[14:06:30] <kadukoafs@gmail.com/barnowl4AB31BCF> 10245 does not seem critical, though nice to have I guess.
[14:06:36] <wiesand> Well that's been the state for months…
[14:07:09] <wiesand> I guess it's a nuisance for a site using those IDs
[14:07:23] <wiesand> we don't :-)
[14:07:38] <meffie> i'll set aside some time to do it today.
[14:08:05] <wiesand> and what's left then is "something like 12592"
[14:08:12] <meffie> ok
[14:08:27] <kadukoafs@gmail.com/barnowl4AB31BCF> I decided last night that reviewing the freebsd stack was easier than
trying to get my first kvm setup set up, so no news on that RT ticket
[14:08:34] <wiesand> (and of course coping with the next linux release)
[14:08:50] <meffie> seems we will have another ubik recovery fix coming soon.
[14:09:29] <meffie> something else discovered while testing 12592
[14:09:30] <wiesand> there's always another fix coming soon…
[14:09:34] <mvita> Linus did -rc8 last weekend, so there's a slight delay
[14:09:47] <mvita> before the next Linux release
[14:09:56] <meffie> yes, and some more linux cache manager fixes too. (not related to linux versions)
[14:10:49] <kadukoafs@gmail.com/barnowl4AB31BCF> I see Stephan commented on some of the spec file patches; does sthat
mean they are not generally terrible? ;)
[14:11:10] <meffie> give it to me straight, dont hold back.
[14:11:11] <wiesand> They're fairly terrible ;-)
[14:11:15] <meffie> oh!
[14:11:49] <wiesand> to review, that is
[14:11:53] <kadukoafs@gmail.com/barnowl4AB31BCF> Spec files are, yeah :-P
[14:12:16] <meffie> i think that one is worse than most spec files.
[14:12:28] <kadukoafs@gmail.com/barnowl4AB31BCF> Seems believable.
[14:12:47] <meffie> i tried to make the changes in stages to make the reviews easier.
[14:12:47] <wiesand> I think I'll look at the result from the whole stack next, rather than the individual changes.
[14:13:06] <kadukoafs@gmail.com/barnowl4AB31BCF> *nods*
[14:13:19] <wiesand> Since they augment (and partially revert?) each other.
[14:13:34] <meffie> and tried to separate 1.6 and 1.8 changes as much as possible.
[14:15:27] <wiesand> After all it's just the spec. In doubt, merge and we'll have to deal with fallout later - which might be easier than meticulous review…
[14:16:51] <kadukoafs@gmail.com/barnowl4AB31BCF> Agreed
[14:16:52] <meffie> yes, limited changes to just the spec. in some cases changing the makefiles may make this thing better, but i avoided that so far
[14:17:35] <wiesand> RT has been quiet too last week
[14:17:57] <wiesand> So I think this is all I had on the agenda for today.
[14:18:42] <kadukoafs@gmail.com/barnowl4AB31BCF> I think that's all I had, also.  Anyone else?
[14:18:45] <wiesand> I have EL5/6/7 test builds running with all candidates already on 1.6 in gerrit.
[14:19:01] <meffie> nice. thank you.
[14:19:09] <meffie> i have nothing else.
[14:19:19] <wiesand> (no dbserver though, just clients and a dafileserver)
[14:19:36] <kadukoafs@gmail.com/barnowl4AB31BCF> No buildmaster updates, then?
[14:19:51] <kadukoafs@gmail.com/barnowl4AB31BCF> (meffie)
[14:19:56] <meffie> not yet, sorry.
[14:20:19] <wiesand> It's still the FBSD10 builder only that inhibits buildbot +1s for 1.6.
[14:20:34] <meffie> hmm.
[14:20:57] <kadukoafs@gmail.com/barnowl4AB31BCF> (It inhibits for master, too.)
[14:21:15] <meffie> would it be possble to just install 0.8 client there until the buildbot master has been upgraded?
[14:22:29] <kadukoafs@gmail.com/barnowl4AB31BCF> Depends on whether it's still in Ports, I think.
[14:23:10] <meffie> hmm. ok. if it is installed with pip you can pin the version.
[14:24:10] <meffie> ok, but yes, i should upgrade the buildbot master
[14:24:50] <wiesand> I guess we're finished for today?
[14:25:00] <kadukoafs@gmail.com/barnowl4AB31BCF> Looks like there is just one version of buildbot in ports at a time,
alas.
[14:25:33] <meffie> yes, that's all i have for today.
[14:25:52] <wiesand> Let's adjourn then. Thanks a lot everyone!
[14:27:15] wiesand leaves the room
[14:33:30] meffie leaves the room
