[14:56:39] <meffie> good morning.
[14:59:29] wiesand joins the room
[14:59:45] <wiesand> mornin'
[15:00:21] <wiesand> Who's actually here?
[15:00:52] <mvita> me
[15:01:38] <mvita> hello stephan
[15:02:04] <wiesand> Hello Mark. I'm testing the 133060 1.6 patch on EL5/6/7 now.
[15:02:27] <mvita> oh good, how is it?
[15:02:55] <wiesand> No problems found. At least it seems not to break anything.
[15:03:15] <wiesand> There;s at least on typo in a commit message though
[15:03:34] <wiesand> ping?
[15:03:43] <mvita> :-O
[15:03:47] wiesand leaves the room
[15:04:09] wiesand joins the room
[15:04:18] <mvita> lag?
[15:04:22] <wiesand> pong?
[15:04:30] <wiesand> restarted my client, better now
[15:05:03] <mvita> I gave Ben some typo corrections - don't know if you've found a new one or an old one
[15:05:31] <wiesand> savlagedirs
[15:05:45] <mvita> yup, I told Ben about that
[15:06:02] <meffie> the salvagedirs for 1.6 is much different than master.
[15:06:28] <wiesand> Anyway, this will likely constitute 1.6.20
[15:06:28] kadukoafs@gmail.com/barnowl7DA7EE44 leaves the room
[15:06:28] kadukoafs@gmail.com/barnowl1061917E leaves the room

[15:06:28] kadukoafs@gmail.com/barnowl9C09F4AA leaves the room
[15:07:02] <wiesand> Hmm, poor Ben
[15:07:33] <meffie> do we think it is possible to include andrew's arm64 support in 1.6.20?
[15:07:43] kadukoafs@gmail.com/barnowlE45450E9 joins the room
[15:07:59] <kadukoafs@gmail.com/barnowlE45450E9> I am here but about to fall asleep -- it's midnight here in Seoul.
[15:09:11] <wiesand> Mike: that seems more suitable for the 1.6.20.1 which will have to follow swiftly anyway (in time for Linux 4.9)
[15:09:23] <meffie> that would be fine
[15:09:58] <wiesand> Do you have a gerrit number for me?
[15:10:31] <meffie> topic:arm64_linux26
[15:10:48] <meffie> it has +1's on gerrit, but not merged on master.
[15:11:18] <kadukoafs@gmail.com/barnowlE45450E9> I want to have a test build of master with the no-windows stuff and,
hmm, I merged the one d_invalidate thing, so maybe just that soon.
If it smoke tests and the debian packaging still works, then it'd be
time to cons up a "make 1.18alpha1" commit and tag it.
[15:12:19] <meffie> woot
[15:14:08] <kadukoafs@gmail.com/barnowlE45450E9> goodnight
[15:14:17] <meffie> ok, be safe
[15:14:17] <wiesand> good night ben
[15:14:48] <wiesand> I won't make promises regarding the arm64 changes
[15:16:29] <wiesand> In any case, they will have to be merged on master first
[15:16:44] <meffie> ok, we are just keeping them up to date on each 1.6.x release, it would be good to get them in tree. it seems arm64 is becoming more and more popular
[15:17:08] <meffie> hp has a new line of arm64 servers, for example.
[15:19:26] <wiesand> I'm not opposed, but it's quite a bit of code, and touching a lot of files scheduled to be touched in 1.6.20.1 by other changes already.
[15:20:16] <meffie> ok, thanks.
[15:20:25] <wiesand> I'll add them to the wish list.
[15:20:54] <meffie> excellent. even if we have to wait to 1.6.21, that would be fine i think.
[15:21:20] <wiesand> But my focus will be on 1.6.20 (shall we aim for next week?) and 1.6.20.1 with what's already lined up. Then let's see what fits into the schedule.
[15:21:51] <mvita> ok
[15:22:08] <meffie> sounds good. thanks for adding it to the wish list.
[15:22:14] <mvita> stephan, the typos are fixed in the master version but not in the stable version
[15:22:36] <wiesand> I guessed it.
[15:23:11] <wiesand> This is one reason for my preferences how to handle these releases (as lined out by Ben in the ticket)
[15:23:20] <mvita> mike, are we running the latest stable patch ?
[15:23:34] <meffie> yes
[15:23:38] <mvita> contains 1 more in addition to the original 4
[15:24:14] <mvita> okay
[15:24:14] <meffie> oh, i will need to check.
[15:24:45] <mvita> it's the last attachment in the ticket, dated nov 10
[15:25:37] <wiesand> It might have made 1.6.19 if it were dated earlier
[15:26:20] <wiesand> Looks like we have a plan for the coming fortnight?
[15:28:13] <wiesand> Anything else to discuss today?
[15:28:13] <mvita> yes
[15:28:18] <mvita> no
[15:28:24] <mvita> ;-)
[15:28:34] <wiesand> got it
[15:28:39] <mvita> I blame the lag.
[15:29:04] <wiesand> wherever that occurred ;-)
[15:29:08] <mvita> stephan do you need anything from me for 1.6.20?
[15:29:40] <wiesand> confirmation that you like the patch that will go in
[15:29:53] <wiesand> I think we'll have some coordination around this per PM
[15:30:02] <mvita> I looked at it last week and go distracted
[15:30:07] <mvita> I'm looking at it now
[15:30:36] <mvita> s/go/got
[15:31:51] <meffie> ok, have a good day.
[15:32:06] <mvita> later
[15:32:23] <wiesand> ok, I also have to fetch my car from the garage before it closes
[15:32:36] <wiesand> Thanks a lot!
