[15:24:33] <meffie> those were the packaging fixes. this is a bug fix, but yes we do not have to hold up 1.6.19.
[15:24:44] <wiesand> Ben commented on the fix for the shutdown crash tough - looks like a general rx issue, not darwin specific?

2969 files changed, 242679 insertions(+), 144952 deletions(-)

[15:30:39] <meffie> it was about 2000 commits on master that are not on 1.6.x. but many of them were fixes to the fixes (regressions never seen if you go from 1.6. to 1.8)
[15:31:02] <meffie> and most of the changes are of the code clean up variety.
[15:31:42] <meffie> i grouped things into "categories" but i still have too many categories (about 100), so i'm trying to summarize.
