[16:56:53] Chatroom configuration modified
[19:50:46] shadow leaves the room
[20:18:00] shadow joins the room
[20:19:56] shadow@gmail.com/barnowl7628413F joins the room
[20:21:04] stephan.wiesand joins the room
[20:25:12] <shadow> this is now the new jabber server, btw
[20:26:27] <stephan.wiesand> Wow.
[20:28:13] <shadow> your "test" message prompted me to solve the problem the wrong way. there is a tcp redirector in play. 3 mintes later the dns was swung
[20:28:49] <stephan.wiesand> Ah. Seems to work fine now.
[20:29:26] <shadow> well, in an hour or so i will kill the redirector and you will drop and rejoin. just fyi
[20:29:49] <stephan.wiesand> In an hour or so I'll be sound asleep ;-)
[20:30:24] <stephan.wiesand> Just testing before I send outthe invitation for tomorrow's jabber meeting. Anything special I should care about?
[20:31:02] <shadow> anyone with a @openafs.org jabber account won't be able to use it.
[20:31:14] <shadow> (we don't want to host local accounts anymore)
[20:31:38] <stephan.wiesand> Ok, I'll mention that.
[20:45:10] kaduk joins the room
[20:46:03] <kaduk> Okay, this works for me from pidgin, but my barnowl was having trouble.  I expect I can find a fairly trivial workaround.
[20:49:52] <stephan.wiesand> I didn't have to do anything. Just started my good old iChat client with the old config :)
[20:50:19] <kaduk> The combination of barnowl as client and MIT's jabber server do not interact very well.
[20:51:10] <stephan.wiesand> Isn't barnowl from MIT?
[20:51:22] <shadow@gmail.com/barnowl7628413F> "sorta"
[20:51:33] shadow leaves the room
[20:51:38] <kaduk> most barnowl development is at MIT, yes.
[20:51:52] <kaduk> But (IIRC) the jabber support is from a very old, deprecated perl module.
[21:02:29] kaduk leaves the room
[21:02:36] stephan.wiesand leaves the room
