[14:46:41] <kaduk> If I wanted to make ~everything in src/afs include opr/jhash.h, where would I put such an #include?  afs.h?  sysincludes.h doesn't seem right...
[14:48:54] <meffie> can you just add it to the *.c files that need it?
[14:51:17] <kaduk> It would need to go before afs.h, I think, if I want to use opr_jhash_size() to define VHASHSIZE (which is in turn used to statically size arrays).  I suppose I could just switch entirely to VHASHBITS everywhere...
[14:52:55] <meffie> oh, then that does sound like it should go in afs.h
[14:54:29] <meffie> kaduk: last night i was looking updating the places in the vlserver log where it logs "use vos changeaddr".
[14:54:39] <Jeffrey Altman> if afs.h is itself dependent on jhash.h then it should include jhash.h
[14:54:57] <kaduk> Okay, then.
[15:01:39] <kaduk> meffie: anything interesting about the vlserver logs and "use vos changeaddr", or is that just a status update?
(Thank you for looking, by the way.)
[15:03:33] <meffie> yes, so i though we should also log the uuid, since it is needed for vos setaddrs and vos remaddrs. currently we just log the addresses.
[15:03:51] <kaduk> Ah, an interesting thought.
[15:04:14] <meffie> but the new opr uuid functions print the uuids in standard format (8-4-4-4-12).
[15:04:36] <meffie> the vos functions use the old "afs" uuid format 8-4-4-2-2-12
[15:05:12] <kaduk> such fun.
[15:05:51] <meffie> yup
[16:11:56] <Simon Wilkinson> I thought the vos functions could use both UUID types
[16:13:27] <meffie> the new opr read-from-string function can, but from a quick test, it doesnt seem the vos functions do. i'll check; seems like it would be a simple fix if not.

[20:58:37] <kaduk> Hmm, the buildbot grid seems to show that the builds for 11432 are done, so I would expect buildbot to have commented, but I don't see anything.
[20:58:59] <kaduk> Since IIRC the macos10-9 builder is not in the critical path?
Maybe I am wrong about that.
[21:18:59] <kaduk> I guess maybe it is in the critical path. :-/
[21:21:54] <Jeffrey Altman> yes it is.
[21:22:05] <Jeffrey Altman> did you send mail to CNF Computing <computing@cnf.cornell.edu> ?
[21:22:30] <kaduk> Not yet; I got distracted.
[21:24:18] <kaduk> did now
[21:44:10] <kaduk> just got a buildbot verification, so something happened
