[10:06:07] the self-pipe trick should work for softsig itself iirc [10:06:25] but if you want to drop linux24, I don't know if dropping server-only would be unreasonable [10:07:17] (I don't actually think this is a good enough reason to drop linux24.) [10:07:51] self-pipe came to mind because we already have a thread abusing select() as usleep, so it would be pretty easy to integrate. [11:29:43] I'm not sure that selfpipe would be truly appropriate for a general softsig; my discussions elsewhere about its correctness are relying on some bosserver-specific facts that would be difficult to enforce in the general case. [12:23:16] well, it's come up a couple of times publicly, and nobody raised any issues publicly yet... [12:24:14] Er, dropping linux24 has come up, or something else? [12:48:21] oh no no, I meant pipes in softsig [12:48:59] I guess dropping linux24 has been mentioned before, but not discussed seriously I don't think (though I personally am not aware of linux24 server-side demand) [14:40:46] --- dev-zero@jabber.org has become available [14:59:20] --- dev-zero@jabber.org has left [15:17:03] --- dev-zero@jabber.org has become available [15:17:20] --- dev-zero@jabber.org has left [15:17:25] --- dev-zero@jabber.org has become available [15:24:42] --- mvitale has left [15:34:52] --- dev-zero@jabber.org has left [18:15:42] --- deason has left [18:15:43] --- deason has become available [18:54:25] --- jaltman/FrogsLeap has left: Disconnected [18:54:43] --- Marc Dionne has left [19:04:34] --- jaltman/FrogsLeap has become available [19:51:03] --- deason has left [19:51:03] --- deason has become available [23:15:36] --- deason has left [23:49:56] --- dev-zero@jabber.org has become available
