[06:11:35] he said master, but who knows from when [06:13:06] the only detail I have is master from some time in the last two weeks [06:13:35] the problem was reported as XDR symbol conflicts in the kernel module [06:17:25] --- reuteras has left [06:20:45] --- haba has left [06:20:45] --- haba has become available [06:21:51] --- haba has left [06:21:54] --- haba has become available [06:30:41] --- reuteras has become available [06:41:58] --- sxw has become available [06:42:37] As of ~recently we now rename all of our XDR symbols to afs_xdr, so I'm not sure how we would conflict. [09:45:42] the "11 express" or whatever from awhile ago [09:46:45] and I mean, even before the xdr renaming, we conflicted with kernel symbols somewhere but it didn't prevent you from using the client [09:47:01] ok. so the thing i downloaded and is currently offline because the disk enclosure i left the disk in toasted itself [09:47:27] The thing that you can't share with anyone, can't benchmark, and can't even let other folk log in to ... [09:47:35] Got to love Oracle. [09:48:20] you'll love it. take our word for it. that's the only choice you have, after all... I'm not really sure I see the benefit, since it's kind of a platform-specific area [13:21:33] --- lars.malinowsky has left [13:50:51] The reason I made the changes there is that roken lets you collect all of your "standard" system headers into one include, simplifying the file. It removes the craziness that we had with about 5 different ways of protecting some headers. [14:00:53] yeah but, we almost never change the code in there; the platforms it's used for certainly do not change, and I don't think I see vfsck getting a whole lot of functionality enhancements [14:32:41] Fixing those makes running tools across the whole codebase much, much easier. It means you don't have to start adding exclusion directories.
